Wooden joints

For a project we are doing research on wooden joints. Especially Japanese wood work is so beautiful,   it just ads magic to the object. But skilled woodworkers are hard to find and expensive. Digital cutting might prove to be the solution. The digital wood joints below were developed in the course of several years of reserch at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, a project headed by Prof. Jochen Gros and Designer Friedrich Sulzer.
